CitiSquare is a massive mixed-use redevelopment project in Newark, New Jersey, located on the 11-acre site of the former Newark Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium. Managed by Accurate Builders & Developers, it is one of the most ambitious projects in the city’s ongoing “renaissance.” The development includes 11 buildings—a mix of eight interlinked residential buildings and three freestanding high-rise towers. Plans call for approximately 4,200 residential units, ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments. About 5% to 10% of these are slated to be affordable housing. It features roughly 100,000 square feet of commercial space, including retail, dining, office suites, and a hotel. Phase 1, Includes two 18-story buildings along the riverfront, containing 598 apartments, connected by a single-story structure with amenities and retail space.
